Clinical reasoning and cervical manual therapy
13-03-2017
With the
Go4Safe project, we will assess the reliability and diagnostic accuracy of the IFOMPT-framework. The IFOMPT-framework aims to reduce the risk of serious adverse events following cervical manual therapy, by using information from the patient interview, physical examination and clinical reasoning. Currently, this framework is widely used around the world but we lack information about its methodological properties (reliability and diagnostic accuracy). Therefore, the ‘Go4Safe’ research project is urgently needed. But we need your support to help fund the 150 MRA-scan of the cervical and cranial blood vessels (MRA = magnetic resonance angiography). With your donation, you’re contributing to the safety of manual therapy for the cervical spine. The project is conducted at the university and medical centre in Amsterdam, The Netherlands - two highly respected centres for their research quality and relevance.
